Spoiler alert: The key to success isn’t some growth hack or quick fix.
It comes down to something seemingly mundane yet essential: consistency.
Successful people have the courage and grit to keep going even when they don’t feel like it.
Is it simple? Yes.
Is it easy? Definitely not, which is why so few actually do it and why it will set you apart.
Here are four reasons why consistency is the key to career success:
1. It helps others understand your value
Consistency sends a message to the world about who you are and what you’re about. Without it, you’ll lower your competitive advantage and water down your offering.
2. It allows you to track your progress
Focus on regularly putting in the reps, so you’ll improve over time and establish a proven track record to document your results.
3. It demonstrates your commitment
When you continue to show up as yourself and for others, you demonstrate your accountability as a leader and earn a reputation as someone who always means what she says and says what she does, building and maintaining #trust.
4. It raises your profile
Consistency is all about playing the long game and resisting the latest trend du jour, chasing popularity. Taking small steps every day that align with and showcase your talents, putting them to their highest and best use, is the best way to build awareness of your personal brand.
Shine on,
Amy

P.P.S. When I’m not creating daily doses of illuminating insights, I’m a social media ghostwriter. (Yep, that’s a thing). I help founders, entrepreneurs, and CXOs craft their stories to communicate and connect better by magnifying their reach and impact. (Think personal branding and thought leadership.) Learn more here.

I agree. With consistency someone can build mountain from stones.
